I delivered a large order last Saturday, and have a little slack time before
I start on the next one. After 13 years of cutting steel with my chop saw on
the floor I decided to make a chop saw table. I scavenged legs and drawers
from an old work bench. The top was steel from the side of a washing
machine we are taking to the dump. I used the lid from the washer as an
upright to stop sparks. The most important part was I built a drop leaf
table with three rollers on it to feed steel into the saw at the right
height, when the leaf is down there is a single roller to support work. I
still need to make a support for the end of my cut guage, but for now I can
borrow a support from one of the other tools if needed.

It took longer than expected, but that is the way it goes with one of a kind
items. I'll be glad to get up off the floor, I turned 59 last week and my
knees are starting to protest.
