Shouldn't that be a 90 degree bend? Wouldn't want to upset anyone now would
we?

I just spent the better part of today building a "stump" for my cheap 55 lb
piece of iron that I have to call an anvil and setting everything up so I
have an efficient little corner of the garage where I can move from the
forge to the anvil. Got me a handful of hammers and made some tongs (one of
which actually looks like tongs). Managed to pick up quite a bit of steel to
work with off CL as well as putting together a 20 ton air over hydraulic
press for next to nothing. Still need to get my hands on some tool steel for
dies. Forge is just a mess of firebricks, a welded steel frame and propane
burner that is capable of welding heat (rebar and saw blade bar to prove
it).

Started out thinking I would like to do some blades and still look forward
to seeing what I can make but starting to think I would like to be able to
make more. I've always been more of a DIY type. I've built my own bikes
(American V Twins if you must know). Build my own computers, golf clubs and
guns as well and see this as a natural extension of who I am. Making it
yourself is at least half the fun of owning it.

Well, been a long day already and have some things I want to accomplish
tomorrow. Looking forward to finding out all 21 ways to "truly" make a 90
degree bend.

Thanks for the come back!
