You couldn't poll a goat his age but there is surgical dehorning. Regardless
they're heads are more than thick and hard enough to break your back. Still,
no horns and they won't hook your leg and hamstring you.
Mountain lions have been hunting goats a LOT more dangerous than the
domestic variety for millenia, that's why we humans partnered with dogs
maybe as far back as a quarter million years ago. A couple Great Pyreneese
will take care of any predators that stray onto the spread, best of all they
are affectionate in the extreme unless they don't trust you. If a Pyr
decides something is a threat to his/er charges the great big happy
marshmallow just becomes death incarnate, no more threat.
If our dogs don't trust you we don't.
