Oban and Balvenie are both very tasty offerings, especially for the
money. Used to get them for around $40, whereas I apid $160 for the 25
year MacAllan at the FL ABC, which was by FAR the lowest price I'd ever
found it. I have heard it is now obscenely $$. Used to get the Louis
there for about $900, and that was about half of what it cost elsewhere.

Sunny and I (worked together in FL) used to hang at Mulvaney's in
Orlando. When one is away from home like that for better part of a
year, bars tend to become hangouts for dopes such as myself. God knows
I could not get myself to go to a place like Disney even once, so we
hung there, got to know the barkeeps really well, drank obscenely
expensive stuff, smoked some truly fine cigars, and partook of their
rather good kitchen perhaps two or three nights/week. Their shepherd's
pie was very, very good.

Last night on that job we went for broke and drank a WHOLE bottle of the
Louis @ $85/shot. Kelly, the barman, charged us for one each only that
night. I left him $100 tip that evening, given he gave us each about
$1500 worth of drink according to his register.

I remember having work and money. Yes... it was... *nice*. :)
