I chuckle at that phrase being applied to Scotch Whisky.  Crucifixion is a
religious experience too, but I ain't gonna run right out to try it!  Stick
with Irish Whiskey -- less likely to cause cancer.  These peat- and
burned-wood-flavored ethanol concoctions are rather low on my list of where
to spend my money.  By contrast, honest beer or wine (NOT aged in oak) are
pleasurable.
