I don't belong to ABANA for the conferences, never been to one.  I'm in it for this fabulous resource, all this talk about hard cider and stuff.....<G>  The local conf's are well, more local (cheaper too).  Hammer's Blow and Anvil's Ring tend to publish submissions, it's a lot less work doing the article yourself (I believe they just did an article on getting published...hint, hint).  Don't feel left out, send some in from the left coast, it just takes a fraction of a second longer over the wires.
