16ga, cut out to a pattern, tidy with a file, anneal, work up the ribs
over a stake cold, shape the swales between the ribs on a lead block
and finish the curve hot.  Been so long since I made one that I forget
just exactly how much of the final shape comes from the lead block and
how much from hot forming.

Give it a try.  The idea was to just suggest wings without getting all
complicated and hairy and thereby upstaging the forged work with sheet
metal, welding or whatever.
