As has been stated, adding gas to a solid fuel won't work. You'd potentially have a gas fireball. Most gas forges work off the principal of a refractory liner that gathers and holds heat. The gas burner isn't usually hot enough to work metal. But, the heat gathers and builds in the refractory liner until the inside of the forge is hot enough.
Instead of a gas forge, you might build an enclosed adobe forge, which can be run off of things like corn, dried manure, charcoal, and coal. Realize that coal and charcoal are your best bets for heat. With charcoal adding no sulphur to steel, which promotes breakage.
The adobe thing is a quick rig. You need clay, sand, wood ash, water, and some sort of fiber to make your adobe mud. Then it's sort of like making mud and piling it. You use predrilled and fitted plumbing fittings for your tuyere. One end is open for your blower the other has a screw on cap for clean out. You can make an open top forge like this in a wash tub or a barrel on a stand. A close top takes more time and effort. But, with the open top you can stack fire bricks and make a top, when you want/need it.

I considered making a propane forge, then I found out the fire codes in my
area don't allow for any possible build up of flammable gases, and my dad
wont let me :P It would be easier, but illegal for where I live. I could
make a propane assisted charcoal forge... propane instead of air in the
tyuere?
