Salt and vinegar will work...be sure to rinse throughly and neutralize
the vinegar, then rinse again afterwards.
Around here, where there's a fair amount of water and salt in the
air..such a finish wouldn't last long outdoors.
Rust under any finish isn't a good idea unless it's really dry where
it's going.
Dog aesthetics...ah yes. We have a beautiful, dumb blond bitch who
breaks into a trot whenever she sees a hunching cat with it's tail up.
