I can't say about the firehose pants but my parka is darned fire resistant.
It is or was literally the same material as firehose cases and that stuff is
nearly bullet proof.
Truth to tell I haven't tried a pair of firehose pants myself but seeing as
Pete's tested them for us. . . maybe. <grin> Actually the only thing that
kept me from buying a pair or two is my preference for cargo pockets. I
can't carry much of anything larger than a hanky in a hip pocket anymore or
sciatica will put me to bed for a while. I don't read the Duluth catalogues
very often so they may have put out cargo pocket firehose pants and I just
missed em.
