In early June I noticed that I hadn't received any emails in a while saying
that the new issue of The Blacksmith's Journal was ready. I sent an email
inquiring as to the status and expressing my hope that all was well with
them (see email chain below) Here is the response I received ....

"

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

The *Blacksmith’s Journal* at www.blacksmithsjournal.com will be phasing
out the on-line business and the monthly publication of the *Blacksmith's
Journal* has ended with the April 2010 issue.

Due to the unauthorized access by malicious hackers during the month of
April, sections of the site became corrupt and in addition, other associated
problems have caused the insolvency of the business.

Just checking in to see if everything is OK with you. I hadn't seen an
email for the monthly journal for a while, and noticed that i hadn't
downloaded the April 2010 one yet, so did that, but noticed here isn't a May
one out there. Hope everything is going well. Really appreciate the
quality of the publication you put out.
Thanks,
Eric

end quoted text .....

I emailed back requesting store credit and received it ... purchased the 3
DVD set of the Journal videos to add to my collection. Have noticed that
the Smitin' Magician is now carried by Blacksmith's Depot. I'm sad to see
the Journal go by the wayside .... very glad that our affiliate group has
the complete set of back issues in our library. What a great resource this
publication has been.

Eric
