It was ever so impolite and i'm glad it will never do that again!
Was coincidentally reading a discussion on chainsaw accidents and the 
chief related that folks were commonly killed felling birch trees when 
the tree fell and then bounced unpredictably, crushing them.
I was supposed to help a friend drop a tree this last fall..never got 
around to it, but he just emailed that a tree ( same one?) fell during 
this last storm, taking out the corner of his deck and crushing his 
solar array ( He's off the grid)..but missed the house, fortunately.
