That is just an excuse on their part.
I have an overhead door on a loading dock that is not used during the
winter.
It leaks like a sieve so I made some panels that close it up after the
last Fall delivery.
I had my insurance canceled once because of "building condition"
citing the " boarded up" "window".

Went and bought a policy from a competitor for about 20% less for better
coverage.
My agent told me that the old company had a profile that said after so
many years with no claim they were due for a big one so that insurance
company routinely cancels longstanding policies.

Makes no sense to me at all. When I have a longstanding customer who no
longer asks me the price before telling me to go ahead , I do my best
not to piss them off. I certainly would never think of refusing their
custom just because after 15 years without a complaint they were due to
make one.
