The minimalist approach is to weld 2 parallel pipes or bars to a fixed
plate, next to one another. The work is extended at right angles between
them and bent a tiddle, extended a bit more and bent..and so on. The
smaller the extended increments, the smoother the ring. Works for sheet too.
