[TheForge] Chemicals- trials and tribulations

I find that brushing on finishes is always a chore at best. Especially
clear coats, be they polys, lacquers, whatever. Determining what to cut
it with and how much is tedious and time consuming as is how to spray
it. Finding out what to spray it with(the product you find that you
prefer) and how to spray it is a worthy pursuit. I find that sprayed on
finishes look best and are probably easiest to control if you master
your set up. Permalac works real well if the piece is well prepped.
Brushing is messy: drying time, air pockets, thickness of layers,
ambient dust etc.,loose brush hairs, generally a pita. That is, in my
experience.
