[TheForge] temporary welder setup

I'm running a small (Miller 180, 220v) wire feed welder on an outdoor job
and have to go about 80 feet from the receptacle, which is a dryer style
plug on a 50a breaker.
What size wire do I really need to supply it?
The more I read the more confusing it gets- on the advice sites
electricians are speccing 125a breakers for welders that are designed to
run on 50 amps- isn't that really dangerous?
I have plenty of 10ga rubber armored cable, but don't want to burn the
place down- what is the danger point if I use this, wire overheating, or
just continuous breaker interruption? I've seen neither so far, using a
60' section of 10 ga.
Thanks for any ideas!
