There are people in Cape Breton who have coal mines in their cellars
or back yards.  But they don't advertize.  You have to know them or
know "someone" to find them.  Technically, they don't own the mineral
rights which belong to some big, anonymous company or the Crown.  But
they and their neighbors heat with coal somehow. :-)
