Have whoever is working on the case, cops wise, contact AOL.  Though likely he used some bogus name etc., for his payment, at least it can give a clue as to what direction to look, and possibly he is using the same email address for other cards.

My wife's identity was stolen, and we are trying to track down the low life 
who did it.
After many phone calls- most of them worthless- we know that the perp got a 
VISA card issued  in my wife's name and our at address, with the last 4 
digits 6772.  They are also ordering stuff shipped to our address . This 
makes me  believe that it is a computer savy local druggie.
Can't find the bank that issued it or the rest of the numbers to cancell it.
The perps email address is brobinsone at aol.com. Any suggestions how to 
discover info on that address with out alerting them. The local police don't 
have much to use.
Most calls refer us to Equifax etc., but they want our card cancellation 
request in writing, so this is going to drag on, while we rely on snail 
mail.
