Thanks Ries and Andy, lots to go on there. It's a little off topic cause there's not a forged scrap in this railing, and I don't get to choose whether it's drilled or not... I'll try the jig if just drilling and reaming won't do it. Fortunately, the holes go in square tube rather than solid, so it's easier to abuse that way. Andy G.
