I don't know whether it will work on the flux, but a mild acid
solution generally works well for cleaning copper.  I mix vinegar,
salt, and flour to make a paste and slather it on cookware to clean
off ordinary tarnish.  In your case, muriatic acid might be simpler; a
dilute solution would probably work.
