Somehow, Don or his computer did the wrong thing and Plaxo will

it turned off.
What an infuriating and aggravating incident...for which I again apologize
profusely to any who have been pestered by Plaxo.
I received a plaxo invitation from a very good customer. She is quite
wealthy and I have done quite a few thousand dollars worth of custom work for
her over the past couple years. I assumed everything was ok and I envisioned
more $$$ coming. I did two clicks and next thing I knew they had my entire
address book.
I have deleted any of my account information with them and they claim all
data has been deleted.
I rather like Terry's suggestion re the heads on spikes.
Then I went through my address book and purged it. It's amazing how
addresses build up in there. I plan to be more carefully selective in the future.
A pity, really, 'cause I would like to keep all contacts. However, I am
becoming increasingly aware about how vulnerable we are. I was flabbergasted
to find out recently that as long as you have your cell phone turned on
someone, anywhere, with the right software, could track every call you made
and every call you received and listen and record every spoken work. They
could also listen in to any conversations within a couple feet of that phone
that was on...but not connected to anyone. Scary!
