I agree w/ Linn.
But then , it takes smiths about 5 yrs. to learn how to manage the fire. 
Newbies are too busy trying to learn to move metal." When I hit it, I know 
where it's going. When you hit it you find out where it went". F.W.

Don't throw water on a cast pot, unless the air is blowing. That's what 
cracks them, not the heat.
