hello;
given the price of steel is drop like a rock at what point to you stop
adjusting your pricing?
there is the problem of having steel on hand which you purchased when
the price of steel was high and going higher.
now we are faced with dropping prices and knowing that if you purchase
some steel this week in two weeks the price will be less.
i personally am pricing projects out actual cost of materials and
labor. this way if the materials flucuate in price i am protected to
some extent.
side note; i have noticed that the lumber i am seeing in lowes, menards,
alexander lumber yards is really poor in quality. i have to search
through several hundred of 2x12x20ft to find ones which are not
twisted, warped , bowed, etc. have we cut down all the mature forest and
now cutting the less desirable lumber?
