The metal ID plate doesn't have anything.  Sometimes there's a helpful
diagram glued to the inside of the cover plate that's over the
connection terminals.  Regrettably, that plate is missing.

I called my Guy at the motor rewinding shop -- one of the few very
sharp, very technical small businesses in my area -- and he was pretty
sure that the 208V 1PH would run fine on my 230V (nominal 240V)
service.  I have yet to try it.  If it seems wonky or doesn't go, I'll
take it in to the shop.  They seem to be greatly entertained by the
various weird stuff I lug in to them.  Or maybe it's like taking your
slot racer or your Tonka toy to the shop where they build Indy cars:
many of the motors they work on are big enough to drive a small
motorcycle through when the armature is out.



ObIron: Had the 300# A&O going today with some hot iron.  It's going
to take some practice to learn how to get the necessary control to
forge safely with it.  I'm not keen on having hand-held tools snapped
out of my hand or the work piece whapped up under my chin.  Neither of
those happened but I can see they might.  And I mangled another,
improved, spring fuller.  I might have to set up a larger, outdoor
forge next to the hammer to get suitable heats on 1"x2" or 3" round.
