Maybe you can stop by my place in Montesano, WA on your way north.  I've emailed you a couple times but am guessing it's not getting through.

hello;

i am planning out my road trip and plan on taking historic route 66 from
chicago to l.a. california. i am in interested in knowing of any
blacksmiths/tinsmiths/metalworks along the way who would not mind a
visitor to share a cup of coffee with. i am also interested in
blacksmith/tinsmith/metalwork sites of interest.

how far is norman oklahoma off the historic route 66? i know that there
are several theforge members in that area.

as with anything plans may change and i may end up taking the
interstates. right now i cannot see me wanting to share any part of any
road at highway speeds with big freaking trucks. even though it was not
a semi that hit me in the head-on-collision and it has been nearly two
years since the accident ( 6 aug 2009 will be 2 yrs. ) i still have
issues with too much traffic around me.

anyway i am trying to plan as best as i am able to for my road trip.
