For small, indoor pieces, this stuff could be OK.
But its pretty expensive, and since its basically a phosphate  
conversion, its not really a paint, per se.

For outdoor metalwork, you need paint, or something stronger, like  
galvanizing.

When you see 300 year old ironwork in europe, the part you dont see is  
the servant who wire brushed and repainted it every couple of years  
for those 300 years.
