[TheForge] Green concrete

Well, not knowing much but having lots of interest, I googled around,
and found these details, more or less:
1. Green concrete is also a name for wet (unset) concrete, not part
of our topic methinks :)
2. There are "green building" standards, most often LEED is referred
to -- this is good stuff, but good on the level of urban development
decisions and the business of promoting carbon-cycle awareness...
there are some mildly interesting details in how they score the LEED
standards (to attain their platinum, gold, etc ratings), but most have
to do with using what is locally available. The most useful data I
easily found there is common, IMO (but presented nicely for the
business interests).
See http://www.cement.org/buildings/green_leed.asp
3. There are a bunch of niches of the net covering real DIY, here are
a few, along with other interesting finds:
http://xingcolumbus.wordpress.com/2007/11/10/eco-friendly-concrete-arrives-at-osu/
(fly ash added for permeability)
http://www.cement.org/basics/concretebasics_concretebasics.asp (okay I
learned a few things!)
http://www.symons.com/products/chemLEED.htm (some green sealant products)
http://www.c-fix.com/english/default.htm (a commercial roadway-proven
thermoplastic)
...
Hope this helps, sorry I don't have any direct needs, but need to
learn similarly.

I've heard rumors of a "Green concrete" stronger and less carbon emission. if none of you know about this phantom concrete maybe a recipie on how to make your own concrete , not a store bought bag, got a customer who wants it as green as it can get.
