The people around here don't want to know what the code is, they don't want inspectors. South of me is a county that barely has a functing county engineers office, not enough money to redo roads and bridges, or anything else

One guy told me that he inspects his fire extingushers monthly, except they are all at least 7 years out of date, I looked at the inspection stamp in the extingushers. 

Another guy called his insurance agent about a household and shop inspections, the insurance agent said do you have smoke detectors and CO detects, the guy was told that everything was up to code by his insurance agent.

Some places I have looked at it amazing me that they haven't been burned down by electrical fires, then on the news a few months later, you hear about a house fire caused by an electrical problem a mile or two away.
