Do you say that this 2-3 year recoating is necessary?

The Web site says: "PERMALAC should give satisfactory exterior  
protection for at least ten years under normal conditions.  
Considerably longer life is expected."

I hope to give him something that doesn't need to be refinished every  
couple years.
