[TheForge] Glass question

Larry, You would need to have the notch ground off the glass before it
was tempered. As others have stated , once tempered, the glass is under
stress and will shatter as soon as the grinder hits it. Same goes for
water jet cutting. Years ago, I built a lot of equipment for the glass
industry including furnaces and quenching lines for tempering glass.
Some tempered glass can take a pretty good hit, but will turn into a
bucket full of little glass cubes if you try to cut it or knick it on
the edge.
