[TheForge] The future is now OT:

We are in a similar situation..every time the road slides it tries to 
take the phone line with it, closer to the ocean. There are dozens of 
extra splices..add in the salt loading.. plus a pairgain system..and 
it's slooooow dialup.
Wonder what ever happened to the broadband-over-the-powerline proposal?
