No doubt that there are some repugnant lawyers who behave badly.
But your sport mate did agree, after all.
Most established systems have asses that abuse them to everybody's cost.
Without recourse to lawsuits, we'd have a lot more mayhem.
I would vote for a maximum wage for lawyers, politicians, lobbyists and 
so on...grin
