Both. You have two different types of needs.
My big one takes most loads within 50 feet or so of a port on the large
compressor distribution piping.
Nailers, small air tools . anything in the house, filling tires at
curbside all use the small ones.
As you are still in the building phase I would imagine that most of your
distribution piping for a while will be hoses.
That would push me in the direction of small ones for now with the large
one in the mix as the shop gets finished.
