That may be DeWalt's policy, but it won't fly in some states.  Check
your state's laws.

Many states have an "implicit warranty" provision, that basically says
that if you purchase an item sold to do a job, it should be able to do
that job.  If the screwdriver shank spins in the handle so it can't
turn screws, that's a violation of implicit warranty.

If in doubt, assume the manufacturer or retailer will work to make
things right, and seek a fix.
