I have one and it's been good to me. The blades do get dull and they  
are expensive ($100ish), but I've used it for high and low carbon  
steel. I would still have the one I bought 2 years ago, but it got  
stolen out of my shop. Now I have a new one, which I had to return  
twice in the first 2 weeks of ownership (the first one had a bad arm  
and the second had a bad motor - I can't say much for the quality  
control of the company, but they replaced/repaired it for free), but  
the one I've got now seems to work well. And the chips of steel are  
much cleaner than the grinding wheels offer. Just don't try to cut  
really small stock with the regular stock blade. I jammed it up that  
way once and had to replace the blade.
