Animal menagerie (SP)
The late Paul Hubler did the forging and the Guild of Metalsmiths put it
out. Norm Larson Books carries it.
As for DVD the UMBA library has Darrel Nelson doing a couple of heads on
RD15. Cost of DVD and shipping to the US is $7. Listing can be accessed at
www.umbaonline.org
The Joe Anderson animals are on flat bar. Darrel Nelson does square bar.
I watched Glenn Horr (SP) at SOFA. He did two dragons with an air chisel.
Super fast and the eye/nose sockets get very large very quickly. He was
using a $250 air gun but talked with someone else who uses an elcheapo
harbor freight gun with good results. I bought, read stole, one of the demo
pieces at the auction. I should take a photo and put it up on the web. Not
sure when that DVD will be available as I as still having electrical
appliance problems. Another DVD burner stopped working properly. Anyone
know a good exorcist. Kim S offered to assist but she was talking aluminum
foil and wanted to wait until there was a video camera available. I passed
her offer.
I had forgotten about Steve Williamson. He is an excellent teacher. It was
filmed at Campbell folk school by a student other than myself. RD123 which
is 6 hours and 25 minutes long. The last head is continued on RD130 which
also has the Mexican coppersmiths who where at SOFA last year.
