[TheForge] northern tool question

I've got a 16HP MTD lawn tractor with a 42" blower. I got that used for $450
last year from Craigslist. I had some early belt problems, but my small
engine guy said the pulleys were out of alignment and shimmed them up. No
problems after that.

I live in NH, with a 200-ft driveway, and this did a great job keeping it
clear. It came with wheel weights and chains, but I had to add some weight
in the back. It had traction problems when backing up my somewhat steep
driveway.

I did burn out one more belt on the final snow of the year. I sucked up
mostly wet slush and mud. I guess it was too much for it. I wish the shear
bolts would have done their job, though. Belts are around $30 each.

Anyway, just another data point.
