[TheForge] losing an engine on takeoff

I just love stories like this. Wouldn't mind talking with him.
My friend Walter is a retired merchant marine captain. He has a million
great stories. One of the best was when a British nuclear sub did an
emergency blow right under his vessel. Big rumble, ship came partway
out of the water, then nothing. Dry docked in the Caribbean somewhere
as I recall, but had to wait a few days to get in. Finally in, he is
leaving ship for dinner and noticed that the dock next door was
canvassed off. As he's leaving he runs into another captain. Turned
out to me the skipper of the sub. Asked Walter if he would like to see
what his hull did. Sure. They go through security and on the other
side of the canvas was a sub with about 2/3 of its sail missing.
Apparently it was only by some miracle that the boat didn't sink.
