Don, I know one of the 50,000 ton closed die press is in Cleveland and at
the Alcoa plant. (They have a 35,000 ton too.) There well maybe another one
at TRW in Cleveland, I worked with some great machinists that came from TRW
in Cleveland. The other one I know about was in Baltimore. When these big
press would run folks that lived close to the Alcoa plant could feel it. It
is still there and still in operation for large aluminum forgings.
