What a bummer Lee, I suppose the backhoe bucket is 
facing downhill so you can't pull yourself out with it?

If you can afford to wait letting it sit till the 
ground firms up is a lot better than breaking it, then 
having to let it sit till it dries out.

I wish I had a backhoe, even an itsy bitsy one. 
<wistful sigh>
