Soil conditions could be part of the problem- some places, like my
farm, which is on an old river delta, carry vibration much more than
others.
Usual procedure is to cut a hole in the floor, and pour a separate
foundation just for the hammer, isolated from the floor by styrofoam
sheet, so it may vibrate the earth, but it doesnt vibrate your floor
and building directly.
First step, however, might be to put it on a horse stall rubber mat-
50 bucks or so at the feed store, might help.

I have borrowed a little Anyang power hammer to try out but it is
making too much vibration for the structure of the building which my
forge is sited in. The hammer weighs about 500 pounds; the tup is 30lb.
It is part of the old village forge which is now a museum, and the
curator thinks the vibration will damage the priceless Tudor wall
paintings in the front room.
Is it worth trying some anti-vibration mountings? What is available?
Any recommendations? You can see I don't know much...
