Unless needed for a historical restoration, take the weights to the 
local scrapyard and sell them.  Take the money(around here in NJ #1 
iron is bringing $16/100) and buy some needed tools or material more 
condusive to forging.

Is there a blacksmithing use for sash weights?  One of our smiths has 
been
tearing down old houses and has about 60 of them.  I said I would check

forge to see if anyone knows of a use.
