That's the one we worry about.
Turns out the rumors were untrue and we have a few extra miles of 
slack..nice.

You are joking, but in Big Sur some long time locals ignored the evac 
order and were fighting the fire successfully after the forestry had 
abandoned them. Forestry would drive up and marvel at how well they were 
doing, but would'nt help!
The old guy backfired like a reasonable person, was successful and they 
showed up with automatic weapons to arrest him today.

We are just S of Salmon Cr...3 mi N of Ragged Point Inn.
As the fire gets closer, my landscaping gets thinner. Dropped a branch 
on the clothes line this aft...sigh.
So far, the fire lines facing us are holding nicely.
