I'll work one up.  Give me a bit.

The intended material for the balls is tungsten carbide because it has a 
very low thermal coefficient.  The idea is to keep the heat in face so 
blades will stay hot longer.  I suppose you could make the face from WC 
as well, but that would be very costly to produce.  My idea for that is S7.
