OK, the pictures are posted at the photo access site.  For those of you who 
may not have used this feature:  click the photoAcess.com  link in at the 
very end of this message, and logon using the hotmail address and password 
"anvil" as noted there.  SInce I just created the "Free the Anvil" album, 
you should be taken right to it when you log in.  I have posted 8 shots. 
The first four show it pretty much in "as found" condition:  the stake sunk 
in the swage hole. The flare at the bottom of the stake was actually about 
3/4 " above the surface of the swage block, allowing access but not a real 
clear view of the joint between block and stake.   The dark stains are PB 
Blaster that I soaked in for about a week.  The next shot shows the 
extracted stake next to the hole.  Note the bone dry surface of the stake. 
This is the surface that was wedged against the inside of the stake hole. 
Since it was extracted about 24 hours ago, the PB Blaster has seeped around 
the edges of this surface.  WHen it was extracted, the entire face was dry. 
The inside surface of the hole in this shot is the face the file wedge was 
in contact with.  I'm not sure itt shows up in the pic, but this visual 
inspection shows that this face bears an exact imprint of the file pattern 
from the wedge.  The next two shots are of the wedge itself, showing the 
file pattern on one side, and the flat ground surface on the other.  Notice 
again that the flat surface is bone dry in the middle, where the PB Blaster 
has not seeped in yet.  the final shot is of the anvil, block, and the 
entire technology (except a little heat)  required to dislodge it.
