[TheForge] Dust/fumes mask

A downdraft welding/cutting table is basically a piece
of bar grate over a plenum attached to a vacuum
exhaust.
If you make the individual bars so they drop into slots
in the frame you can turn them over when they get too
beat up and it makes them easy to replace after they
bet the tar beat out of them the second time.
If you make the plenum in a hopper shape the
particulate debris can settle in an easy to clean out
spot. It also gets the debris a little farther from the
cutting jet so it doesn't get stirred up by it.
A trick to keep the draft up is to cover the portions
of the bar grate with sheet metal or other nonflamable
material. This keeps the vacuum up in the plenum so it
draws well without having to use a super duper exhaust
sucker.

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
