[TheForge] Power Hammer Foundation

AHA! Sand! I was wondering about sand. Any shifting, settling, or leveling
problems? My main anvil, a 285 lb Fisher, is mounted on a sand box and I
love it. Sounds like a pillow when I hit it, but almost as good rebound as
the 100 decible Peter Wright down at the village shop. I do have to reset
it periodically, however. Just a matter of lifting it onto the edge of the
bok, removing the wafer and leveling the sand. I wouldnt want to do that
very often with the 1000 lb LG, however.

Also wondering about Sorbothane. Anyone ever try it as an isolation pad?

Mine is sitting in a sand box with 6 inches of sand
between the hammer base and the floor.
