They provide:
You MUST have shade. Preferably inside a structure. Failing that,
under a tree. Failing that, under a tarp fly, with at least two side
tarps available to block wind and sun. Tarp fly MUST be high enough
not to be affected by heat of forge, especially a gas forge. A
totally closed tent is not a good idea unless you can put a flue
through the tent roof.
You MUST be downwind of anyone doing clean crafts, or of anyone who
would be bothered by coal smoke.
You need a table, 4' to 6' long for whatever you wand to display.
You need close access to water, and a half-barrel or equivalent as a slack tub.
You may need electric power.
You need at least one chair.
It's a good idea to have your work area surrounded by a rope strung
between stanchions. Keeps visitors at a safe distance. Some folks
don't know not to walk right up to the anvil.
You should arrange for someone to be available to watch your stuff if
you have to take a break. If other crafters are nearby, they'll
usually be happy to.
You bring:
You will need a flue for your coal forge to vent smoke out the side
of the fly (i.e., forge will be near one side - the shadiest side - of
the fly, with flue running up beside the fly.
Just to be on the safe side, ask to be sure you can sell your wares.
If you cannot sell there, just take orders.
If you don't do this often, be sure to provide comforts for yourself.
Sounds like fun.

So surprised, in fact, that when I was asked how much I charged, I had no response. Well, other than, " doh, whatever you usually pay I'm sure will be fine . . ." I was perfectly prepared to just show up, set up, heat it up and sell what I could. Then they started talking about what kind of tent they should buy for me and a zillion other amenities I didn't expect. Now, without getting into an actionable conspiracy here, or intruding on trade secrets, can I get any guidance on how to determine what one should resonably ask?

There will be working dogs, assorted farm animals, sheep shearing, a dozen or so weaver/spinners, hayride, a thousand or so visitors. No admission charge. Good cause, but a good opportunity too?
