What the hell do you want a 24" flue for?  Unless you are going to be 
burning a really large fire, I see no reason for something that big. 
Now, my thermodynamics is about 30 years unused but IIRC you need to 
have enough thermal volume to drive the convection properly.  For 
example, if I hold a match in a typical 9" flue, the thermal volume is 
not enough to make the flue draw.  A "normal" sized fire, OTOH, will do 
just fine.  So unless you're planning on a really large fire, I'd forget 
about so large a flue.  Sometimes less is more. :)
