[TheForge] Pennsic survived ;-)

Sounds like an outstandingly productive Pennsic. I'll
get to attend one of these years. <sigh>

AND now we know why so many folk are practicing
experimental archaeology eh? A number of years ago I
was watching a show with a prominent American
archeologist who was discussing Clovis points and how
nobody, NO BODY knew how the long flutes were made.
Sitting beside me (somewhere, close) was a magazine
by/about/for hobbiest flint knappers with step by step
intructions in no less than three period and material
correct techniques for producing Clovis points. Of
course it wasn't a scholarly publication so . . . They
have since, long since corrected that oversight and
employ flint knappers as a study technique.

Probably a better bit of goodness is figuring out a
method to help a blind person do some forging. how are
you coming on doing the same for our wheel chair bound
folk?

Good on ya Phlip.

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
